48-hour validation: seven steps to a real signal
The 48 hours after a verdict are not "build a product" — they are a minimal loop to surface real payment/migration signals. This is the hour-by-hour plan and the judging rules.
The 48 hours do one thing: run a minimal loop that surfaces real payment/migration signals. Seven nodes: hour 0 put your one-liner on the landing page hero (no more big changes) → hour 2 page structure → hour 6 minimal form and result page (manual delivery counts) → hour 12 payment link or QR code → hour 24 find 5 real target users → hour 36 collect payment or migration signals → hour 48 review. A fixed rule tree judges the result: someone pays or wants to migrate → continue; a new recurring complaint or ≥3 praise-only users → rescope the paid angle; seen but ignored → stop — it only cost 48 hours, and that is the point of screening.
The seven time points
- Hour 0 — confirm the one-liner: on the landing page hero, no more big changes.
- Hour 2 — page structure: hero claim + one input/form + a result example + a price.
- Hour 6 — minimal form and result page done (manual delivery counts).
- Hour 12 — payment/appointment (a payment link or QR code is enough; no payment system).
- Hour 24 — find 5 real target users (via the channels named in your verdict report).
- Hour 36 — collect payment or migration signals: ask "would you pay / prepay / migrate / be an early user".
- Hour 48 — review: back at the desk, fill in the real results (alpha-window opportunities conclude the same day).
The review reads four numbers
At review you fill in: how many saw it, paid, wanted to migrate, praised but would not pay — plus any new recurring complaint. The verdict comes from the rule engine's fixed threshold tree; AI does not judge.
Six outcomes (judged top to bottom)
- Someone paid on the spot → continue. Gradually automate the manual parts, then find the next 5 users.
- Someone wants to migrate data/workflows (even without paying yet) → continue. Strong signal: dig into the paying point around migrating users.
- A new recurring complaint emerged → rescope. That is a new signal: back to the inbox, original direction paused.
- ≥3 praise but nobody pays → rescope. Value without willingness to pay — change the charging point, the audience, or the delivery certainty.
- People saw it but nobody paid, migrated, or even praised → stop. Users are indifferent; the shape does not hold. It only cost 48 hours — that is what screening is for.
- No real user contact at all → not a validation. Either go execute or stop — you cannot judge from imagination.
Three final states: continue (automate next), rescope (back to inbox), stop (archive). Each outcome deposits one lesson into your decision assets — "why they were indifferent", "praise is not evidence" — rules that stay in your personal judgment library.
