Is your next overseas micro-SaaS,
worth the first line of code? Trust evidence, not gut feeling.
Turn complaints from WeChat groups, competitors’ pricing pages, and Product Hunt leaderboards into your evidence ledger. Get a 100-score, ten-dimension verdict in 10 minutes: kill it, rescope it, or push a 48h validation.
The world has no shortage of idea factories; it lacks idea adjudicators.
Or skip all of that — save evidence first and let the opportunity emerge.

Feeling can’t prove demand.
Judging whether an idea is worth building, the priciest step is not building — it’s clarifying whose problem it solves and whether anyone has actually paid for it.
Gut feel = glorious assumptions
“I think people need it”, “big market”. Without payment evidence, these are just nice self-justification.
Evidence = hard validation
Who, what scene, how they pay today, what’s missing — real signals across all four give decisions a foundation.
Socratic Gate = it adjudicates for you
A deterministic rule engine plus mandatory evidence rules you before you start building: kill, rescope, or push 48h validation.
We won’t generate Ideas; we review yours.
We don’t invent ideas, pile on features, or cook up numbers. Every gate is a check for you — prove someone really needs it before you start building.
Gates you can’t skip
Four fields → one-liner → evidence ledger, each step server-side enforced and unavoidable.
Example: Who = an indie developer building Shopify plugins; When = reconciling books past midnight after every custom request; Paying today = Excel + manual screenshots; Missing = no lightweight reconciliation tool.
100-score, ten-dimension scoring
Audience specificity, pain & pay evidence, supply gap, compliance deductions… one card shows opportunity quality with a five-color verdict.
Example: “User specificity” asks — is your “who” “programmers”, or “affiliate marketers building landing pages with Carrd”? One gets penalized; the other gets bonus points. The narrower the audience, the higher the score.
How is each dimension scored? Read the scoring guide →48h MVP loop
Passed opportunities go into the Sprint board with one click; real validation, review, then re-verdict — decision assets accumulate automatically.
Example: a landing page + a Stripe payment link + posts in 3 indie-dev groups; 5 prepayments within 48 hours is a qualified real validation.

A one-page demo from your question to the final verdict: four-field intake → evidence cards → the rule pass → verdict and next steps. Marked as a demo — no real user data.
- Your question — "Reconciling books past midnight after every custom request: is a tool worth building?"
- Four fields — Who: an indie developer building Shopify plugins; Missing: no lightweight reconciliation tool.
- Evidence cards — this sample fabricates nothing: payment records and user quotes are honestly marked "to collect".
- The rule pass — ten dimensions, facts only: specific audience, clear scenario, but insufficient evidence.
- The verdict — need more evidence, with one 48h validation task; no green light, no pass.
Four evidence types decide an idea’s fate
The verdict is built only on evidence types — the more of these four you gather, the more confident you can be.
What counts as evidence? Read the four-type guide →Complaint verbatim
Verbatim complaints from target users about current workflows on Jike, WeChat groups, X, or Reddit r/SaaS — “I have to export CSVs by hand again”, “this tool’s $30/month is a rip-off”. Paraphrasing doesn’t count; quote them.
Example: a verbatim post on Jike — “this tool’s $30/month, a straight-up rip-off”.
Payment or refund
Proof that someone pays for a solution today: payment screenshots of similar tools at $10–50/month, renewal and price-hike discussions, refund complaints. A pain without payment evidence is just a complaint.
Example: a competitor’s price-hike notice plus renewal threads from users.
Competitor links
Product and pricing pages of similar overseas micro-SaaS: Product Hunt leaderboards, Chrome Web Store extensions, Shopify app marketplace. Finding 3 competitors isn’t bad news — it’s the best proof demand exists.
Example: pricing pages of 3 Shopify reconciliation plugins.
Data signals
Market behavior with numbers: Product Hunt rank and velocity, keyword search trends, new skill requirements in job posts, screenshots of target community growth.
Example: a 3-month search-trend curve for the target keyword.
How it works
Bank evidence first, then walk the four steps — each one collects one more piece of evidence for “should you build it.”
Collect signals daily
No idea required. Group-chat rants, competitor pricing pages, growth numbers — two seconds each into your Evidence Wall.
Submit a signal
A rant from a group chat (“I’m so done exporting CSVs by hand”), a screenshot of a competitor’s price-hike notice, a category suddenly climbing the Product Hunt leaderboard…
Fill the four fields + evidence
Who / scene / how they pay today / what’s missing — evidence must be original quotes with sources.
Get a ten-dimension verdict
A 100-score card → five-color verdict, driving status transitions automatically.
Run 48h validation / review
Green-lighted ideas run real validation on the Sprint board; lessons are distilled into reusable rules.
Pick a plan and start validating.
Paying a small amount tests whether you would actually pay for this — the most honest market signal.

FAQ
The questions you’re most likely to ask are probably already answered here.
Why not just ask ChatGPT to judge my idea?
Try it: send your idea and ask “is this worth building?”. You’ll get a structured, well-rounded, friendly analysis — then ask three follow-ups (“look again, is it really a dead end?”) and it flips: “there’s actually potential, if you could…”. That’s not a bug; it’s its business model: it keeps you around by how pleasant the conversation is. We’re the opposite — a deterministic rules engine with no chat loop. Displease it and it won’t change the score; argue all you want and it only hands you a “missing-evidence checklist”. The value of a verdict is precisely that it doesn’t flatter you.
Where does the evidence come from?
Verbatim words from target users on Jike, WeChat groups, X, or Reddit r/SaaS; payment screenshots and renewal discussions for competitor tools at $10–50/month; Product Hunt rankings and search trends. “I feel like people need it” is not evidence. Full definitions of the four types are above.
What happens if I let it judge?
No evidence → only “Need evidence”, never a green light. A rules engine with server-side enforcement you can’t out-argue. Example: claim “my tool fixes Excel reconciliation pain” with zero user quotes or payment records — you get “missing evidence”, not a green light.

Opportunities are private by default, visible only to you; sign in to sync across devices. Admin requires allowlist authentication. What syncs: your opportunities, four-field forms, evidence ledger (including original quotes, sources, and links), and verdict reports are stored on our servers for server-side adjudication and cross-device access. The Evidence Wall is a separate tool — what you save there lives only in your browser and does not migrate with your account, so export a backup from its settings before switching devices. AI assistant chat history and content snippets flagged by safety review are also stored as described in the Privacy Policy. On telemetry we hold ourselves to the same standard: the server records just three beacons (page views, gate rejections, and Evidence Wall aggregate counters) with enum/bucket/boolean attributes only — no content; Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookie-free, DNT-respecting) runs as a cross-check. Full disclosure lives at /analytics and in the Privacy Policy.
I already buy idea lists (e.g. ProvenTools’ 650). Why do I still need you?
Idea lists solve the “what to build” inspiration; we judge whether *your* idea deserves three months of your life. And the more idea lists people buy, the more they need an adjudicator: facing 650 options, the question shifts from “which is worth doing” to “which one do I choose” — that’s not convergence, it’s more expensive divergence.
Prove your Idea with one submission.
