Acceptable Use Policy — AI-Generated Content (AUP)
Last updated: 2026-08-20 · Version 1.0
Socratic Gate (referred to as "the Platform", "we") is committed to providing a safe, lawful, and responsible AI-assisted service. This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") applies to all content generated, published, transmitted, or stored through the Platform, and sets out our content standards, review mechanisms, reporting process, and handling of violations. All users of the Platform are required to comply with this Policy.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to all of the following content forms:
- Text: product signals, original evidence, one-line claims, review data, etc. submitted by users;
- AI output: drafts such as titles/summaries/guiding suggestions/action suggestions generated by the AI assistant;
- User input (Prompts): the prompts and instructions submitted by users.
2. Content Standards and Prohibited Categories
The Platform expressly prohibits using the Service to generate the following six categories of content:
- Pornography / NSFW content;
- Violence / gore content;
- Hate speech;
- Child-unsafe content (CSAM);
- Deepfakes / impersonation of others;
- Content that infringes copyright or trademarks.
2.1 Absolutely prohibited — zero tolerance: the following content is dealt with immediately upon discovery, and we reserve the right to report it to the competent authorities:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexually related content involving minors;
- Content promoting or supporting terrorism, extremism, and mass violence;
- Technical guidance for manufacturing weapons of mass destruction;
- Content inciting genocide or ethnic hatred;
- Non-consensual deepfake sexual content targeting real individuals.
2.2 Generally prohibited conduct:
- Generating or spreading false information or rumors;
- Impersonating real individuals, brands, or organizations;
- Infringing intellectual property, image, or privacy rights;
- Using AI content to deceive users or claiming it was created by humans;
- Generating spam or fraudulent content in bulk;
- Using jailbreak prompts to bypass the Platform’s security mechanisms;
- Using the Service’s output to train competing AI models, or systematically scraping model output on a large scale.
3. Content Review Mechanisms
The Platform uses a "automatic review + rule-engine recheck + log retention" review system:
- Input filtering: red-line scanning of dangerous words on submitted prompts/signals (blocked at the entrance; hits are refused directly from proceeding to later steps);
- Rule-engine recheck: compliance risk assessment of signal content (medical/legal/financial/gray-black-market/impersonating-official/trademark-copyright/privacy risk); high-risk items are directly adjudicated as stop or re-scope;
- Output filtering: content-safety scanning of drafts produced by the AI assistant (the six prohibited categories); hits are blocked and raw model output is not displayed;
- Review logs: hit events (input interception / output interception) are written to review logs, enabling recheck and traceability.
Note: this Platform is primarily automated review; there is no 7×24 human review team; reported content is manually reviewed by Platform operations staff.
4. Reporting Mechanism
4.1 When to report: content or conduct that violates this Policy’s content standards; serious violations involving child safety, terrorism, etc.; discovering AI impersonation of you or infringement of your rights.
4.2 Reporting principles: confidentiality — reporter identities are strictly protected; neutrality — all reports are reviewed independently and objectively; anti-abuse — malicious or false reports will be recorded and addressed.
5. Reporting Channels
- Reporting email: support@socraticgate.com
- In-Platform reporting: submit via the customer-support channel and include content identifiers (signal / opportunity ID).
6. Processing Timelines
- L1 serious (child safety, terrorism, etc.): initial response within 24 hours, resolution within 3 business days;
- L2 high-risk: initial response within 3 business days, resolution within 7 business days;
- L3 general violations: resolution within 15 business days.
If more processing time is needed, we will proactively notify the reporter with the reason. Process: receive report (automatic acknowledgment) → triage → content review (automatic + human) → decision → execute action → notify of outcome.
7. Enforcement Measures for Violations
- Content warning: written warning requiring deletion or modification (first minor violation);
- Content removal: remove violating content (confirmed L3–L4);
- Feature restriction: reduce call limits or service access (multiple minor violations or a single L3);
- Account suspension: temporary suspension pending recheck (L2 or cumulative violations);
- Permanent ban: permanent termination of access (L1 or multiple L2);
- Legal action: reporting to law enforcement and cooperating with investigations (L1 involving suspected crime).
The above measures align with the Platform’s actual capabilities: red-line word blocking, rule-engine compliance adjudication (stop / re-scope / downgrade), and AI output filtering are all measures actually executed by the system.
8. Appeal Mechanism
If you dispute an enforcement outcome, you may submit an appeal to support@socraticgate.com within 15 calendar days of receiving notice. The appeal will be reviewed by an independent reviewer who was not involved in the initial decision, within 10 business days.
9. Transparency and Policy Changes
Material changes will be announced at least 15 days in advance; continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
